Charles Plauda

Plauda started with the platoon of the second battalion. He was sent to McNiece's platoon a month before the invasion.

Plauda in an interview said that he had joined a group of paratroopers and that he had reached the bridge, neither McNiece nor Agnew remember him, most likely he fought on another bridge.

Plauda re-enlisted after the war into the US Air Force and served in Japan. He passed away at a age 26 in April 1950 from injuries due to an auto accident.
